Our Lady of Perpetual Help

Welcome to OLPH!

In June of 1996, Section 59-65-47, became law in the State of South Carolina. This “Third Option” provides another choice for homeschoolers to exercise in tailoring their home education as best fits the needs and preferences of individual families. Our Lady of Perpetual Help is one of these organizations.

OLPH began in 1997 providing these services, available to all Catholics within the state of South Carolina. We have met with great success, and our growth continues.

A lay organization, OLPH exists solely to provide legal compliance to the State Education Laws for its members. It is not affiliated with the Diocese of Charleston in any way and consequently acts independently of the Diocese. The Diocese is aware of our existence but does not govern OLPH in any way.

Membership in OLPH is strictly confidential, in deference to the requests of our members – no mailing lists are dispersed. We respect the right to privacy of our members and are disinclined to be either politically or socially prominent. Such is not the purpose of our existence.
